I have been blessed with a very enthusiastic and optimistic outlook.
As a child growing up Catholic, it was such an exciting event when the Priest blessed our animals and our St. Christopher's! I thought that was so magical! The power they had was something I wanted!!
I attended Parochial school in my early years and felt such a belonging and comfort when I was immersed in things of God and the Holy Spirit. It was like I had an instant connection to the Spirit, and Faith and Trust came naturally to me!! I had an ever growing insatiable interest and always wanted to know more. At 10 years old I declared I wanted to be a nun, however, Thank God, there were other plans for my life!!!
I've always been a 'seeker', looking for better ways to live my life. Looking back on all the dimensions my life has had, I can see clearly that every step led me to this deep devotion I have for living in the 'Presence'.
Beginning early on, I studied the Bible under the toutalage of Rev. Ronald V. Sittser for 20+ years. His interpretation was metaphysical in nature, while being very 'Christian' oriented. Through the years I have read every book I could get my hands on relating to anything Spiritual, with Deepak Chopra being my all-time favorite! My kids used to hear about him so much, that they began calling him, "Deetox-Upchuk"! Now, many years later they realize their Mom was ahead of her time!! Through all the teachings I read, I realized that God loves ALL people and that we are ALL EQUAL in the eyes of Spirit!
I know that with deep faith we can over come any obstacle that may get in our way. We can soar above it all with a single word; SURRENDER. By trading our FEAR in for FAITH, we allow the Divine Wisdom to work out all the details, so we can enjoy a life of true happiness.
I cherish my family and friends so much and they know my passion for food and dogs is right up there with the Divine Presence!! It is no mistake that DOG spells GOD in a mirror!
I do have a passion for food, and owned and operated my own restaurant for 4 ½ years on the Oregon Coast. My passion for dogs came later in life, and now includes Lily and Pierre, two precious Bichon Frise dogs.
My compassion for people and what they are going through runs very deep. I have an innate curiosity for wanting to get to the ‘root’ of any given situation.
In the early 90’s, I took a Pursuit in Excellence Course and knew I loved that work. I also took a Sacred Achiever’s Course at the Destiny Education Center in 2006 and a course in Manifesting Your Destiny before that. For many years I was involved with the Unity Organization. I am now affiliated with Celebration Church in Wilsonville, Oregon, which is just outside of Portland. We are a Christian based church that honors all faiths who teach Love! I am also on the team of COEXIST CELEBRATION which is an EVENT once a month on the third Friday of each month that creates a place where we can all come together to celebrate the deepest truth; that we are all one human family. I received my Coaching Certification from Doorway to Your Destiny, with Rev. Jody Stevenson. My Ministerial License is from Celebration Church with Rev. Barry Dennis, Creative and Executive Director/Senior Minister.
